Our Yoga and Pilates studio is home to leading Pilates instructors including Victoria Park Pilates Program leader, Master Trainer Jennifer Horvath. Pilates is a great starting point or addition to any exercise regime.Our acclaimed Pilates team works with the essential Pilates principles to improve your posture, core strength and flexibility. These principals are integrated within every exercise to engage the “Powerhouse” (abdominals, core, back and hips). At Victoria Park we offer Mat Pilates classes, Pilates on the Reformer, Therapeutic Pilates as well as Pilates Intensives to elevate your practice to the next level, no matter your starting point.
MAT PILATES CLASSES
Our Mat Pilates program can help you tone your body and give you long, lean muscles. All Pilates mat classes are included with a Victoria Park Health Club membership; alternatively, we offer drop-in class passes and packages for non-members. Pilates on the Reformer is the exercise of choice for dancers, gymnasts, and a host of fitness enthusiasts including Victoria Park members. The spring-loaded reformer yields longer and leaner muscles through hundreds of fun and invigorating stretching and strengthening exercises.From a high intensity Group Reformer Class* (max 4 participants), to a Duo or Solo session scheduled exactly when you want it, our instructors are trained to give you the workout you want and your body needs. *To participate in a group Reformer classes, you must complete the Intro to Pilates 3-session solo package or a Pilates Foundation 1 Intensive (as described below).
THERAPEUTIC PILATES
Therapeutic Pilates rehabilitates your body through the creation of balance and symmetry by realigning your structure including re-educating your posture. Your muscles actually learn how to work properly, rather than simply being maneuvered.The results of Therapeutic Pilates depend on the situation of your condition. More so, they depend on the state-of-mind and willingness of the individual that is being treated. Therapeutic Pilates is essentially taking the Pilates practice back to its origin; when it was intended as rehabilitation and injury prevention for athletes, not simply an ‘abs workout’ that many mainstream studios offer. Victoria Park is one of the only Studios offering this type of Pilates program in Montreal. Our therapeutic Pilates instructors offer receipts from ANPQ (Associations des Naturopathes Professionnels du Québec), which are accepted by many insurance companies.

Reformer Foundations 1.
A series of four 90-minute sessions designed to demystify the reformer, the spring-loaded moving pulley-system for practicing Pilates. Join Angela to learn the basic exercises and terminology to deepen your understanding and gain the powerful benefits Pilates is known for: longer, leaner muscles and a strong core. Upon completion of the workshop, clients can drop-in any reformer/combo classes safely and effectively.Ideal student: The perfect workout for any fitness level. Great for those interested in starting a Pilates practice but have not yet had an introduction to the reformer (or very little experience with it). Also, great as a refresher course for those wanting to get back into Pilates.
Reformer Foundations 2.
A series of four 90-minute sessions built upon the Foundations 1 course. Keep elevating your practice with advanced Reformer work. Angela’s expertise challenges participants while deepening their body-awareness and knowledge of their practice.Ideal Student:Has completed the Foundations 1 Intensive and is hungry for more.
Unlocking the Body.
A series of four 90-minute sessions designed to address areas of tension we hold in the body i.e. neck, shoulder, hips and lower back. With focus on deep stretching through the Yamuna Body Rolling System, active and passive stretching, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), and core strengthening exercises to help align the spine and create balance. This is both a therapeutic and challenging workout. Leave class feeling relaxed, balanced and energized!Ideal student:Perfect for any level of Pilates student that has chronic tightness in the body or wants to prevent it. This program is also great for athletes that want to reach peak performance in their other activities.
Pilates Teacher Training and Certification:
Victoria Park Mat 1 Pilates Certification program. Lead by Master Trainer Jennifer Horvath
Learn the Pilates method as Joe intended: quality over quantity. Our intimate teacher course combines traditional Pilates methods with progressive principles that adhere to the PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) standards. Instead of simply teaching a repertoire of exercises, we teach you how to be a teacher, supporting you every step of the way.Our program leads you to becoming an effective, thoughtful and creative teacher.
