PRIVATE YOGA AND THERAPEUTIC YOGA

Therapeutic Yoga rehabilitates your body through the creation of balance and symmetry by realigning your structure including re-educating your posture. Your muscles actually learn how to work properly, rather than simply being maneuvered. Work one-on-one with an expert Yoga Instructor to work though your body’s weaknesses. We make sure that your session is as unique as you are.

YOGA INTENSIVES, SEMINARS AND RETREATS FOR AN ELEVATED PRACTICE

Yoga BASICS Intensive. Lead by Yasmin Gow

A series of four 90-minute, hands-on, seminars delivered in a small-group setting over a four-week period created to set the groundwork for a life-long practice.

Master foundational yoga poses and breathing techniques so you can create a proper base for a profound and injury-free yoga practice, customized for each individual in the group.

Each week your practice is built upon with focus on the following Yoga principles spelling out the BASICS acronym – week 1: Breath awareness, week 2: Alignment and anatomy, week 3: Structure and Innergy, week 4: Creativity and Sweet-spot. Take home handouts on the week’s topic to revisit so you can maintain your state of elevation.

Ideal student: Tailored to fit each person, Yoga BASICS is designed for students ranging from those with no experience to those who have attended multiple classes but found themselves going through the motions instead of having properly learned the foundational poses.

YOGA BASICS Workshop. Lead by Yasmin F. Gow

Learn the basics of breathing, alignment, transition and flow in this introductory workshop-style yoga session with leading yoga instructor Yasmin. In one session, learn how to assess your needs and those of your practice through an understanding of pacing, sequence, and modification. Beginners of all ages are welcome, as well as more experienced students. Elevate your practice in this 2.5-hour intensive.

Ideal student: Students that have attended multiple classes but want to refine the practice to suit their individual needs, including injuries.

Yoga for Healthy Back Workshop (2 hr). Lead by Yasmin Gow.

Yoga is known for helping reduce back discomfort. Learn techniques to safely strengthen core and back muscles, while improving static and dynamic posture. Through an innovative series of yoga poses and movement, you will also experience a greater freedom and mobility in the spine, shoulders, and hips.

Effortless Deep Release Yoga Workshop (2 hr). Lead by Yasmin Gow.

Discover a nurturing sequence of supported postures to help release deep tension from key areas of the body: head, neck, shoulders, back, chest, abdomen and hips. Learn to use yoga props effectively, work through injuries, and induce a healing experience.

Yoga for Better Digestion Workshop (2 hr). Lead by Yasmin Gow.

Practice a comprehensive and therapeutic series of postures and breathing techniques for improved digestion and assimilation. During this seminar, Yasmin covers the anatomy of the digestive system, and ways to alleviate bloating, indigestion, constipation, and IBS through yoga and Ayurveda.

Yoga Weekend Retreat

Victoria Park Re-Fresh Yoga Retreat lead by Yoga Program Director Yasmin Gow. Join us for a memorable weekend of yoga and special Victoria Park activities in the Laurentians from Friday night (April 27, 2012) to Sunday afternoon (April 29, 2012).
