Vbeam for Scars
The Vbeam laser emits a special light energy that can dramatically improve skin discolouration found in scars and help speed the diminished appearance of scar tissue. Treatments last a few minutes and may cause appearance of small bruises which disappear after a few days. Treatment is generally repeated two to five times, a few weeks apart.
Fractional Skin Resurfacing for Scars
A fractional skin resurfacing treatment uses a laser to make microscopic thermal holes in the skin without destroying surrounding tissue. This allows the small damaged areas to quickly heal and remodel your skin's collagen. Different levels of thermal intensity can be used which can provide significant reduction in scar tissue, especially for acne scarring, and for improvement of overall skin texture and smoothness.
Depending on the desired result, clients may receive one to three treatments of approximately thirty minutes. Following treatment, clients will experience "sunburn-type" redness for a few days, followed by exfoliation of "dead skin." In about a week, the skin returns to normal. Treatments are given at two or three-week intervals and clients need only avoid sun exposure between treatments.
