Victoria Park Launches Yoga BASICS, lead by Yasmin Gow
Yoga BASICS is a series of four 90-minute intensives delivered over a four week period to learn the foundational yoga poses and breathing techniques for a life-long practice. The intensives are hands-on sessions delivered in small group setting so participants can build the proper foundation for a profound and injury-free yoga practice customized for each individual in the group.The next Yoga BASICS intensive is scheduled for Saturday September 17th at 10:30. The four sessions will be from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm on September 17, 24, October 1 and 8.
The program includes:
*Four semi-private 90-minute classes with a maximum of 10 participants.*Mat and prop use with complimentary towel service.
*Hands-on correction and assistance.
* Yoga BASICS Information Package handed out each week during the four-week seminar. Each handout explains and depicts the different elements of the BASICS program.
*Each week your practice is built upon with focus on the following Yoga principles spelling out the BASICS acronym:
• Week 1: Breath awareness
• Week 2: Alignment and anatomy
• Week 3: Structure and Innergy
• Week 4: Creativity and Sweet-spot
Pricing:
• $99 for Victoria Park Health Club members• $125 for non-members including after-class access to Victoria Park’s athletic training centre and executive locker room with a thermal circuit (steam, sauna, and cold room) for the days of the intensive.
Tailored to fit each person, Yoga BASICS is designed for students with ranging from those with no experience to those who have attended multiple classes but found themselves going through the motions instead of having properly learned the foundational poses.
