Foundations 1 – Pilates Reformer Intensive

Designed to demystify the reformer, the spring-loaded moving pulley-system for practicing Pilates, join Angela to learn the basic exercises and terminology to deepen your understanding and gain the powerful benefits Pilates is known for: longer, leaner muscles and a strong core. Upon completion of the workshop, clients can drop-in any reformer/combo classes safely and effectively.

Ideal student:

The perfect workout for any fitness level. Great for those interested in starting a Pilates practice but have not yet had an introduction to the reformer (or very little experience with it). Also, great as a refresher course for those wanting to get back into Pilates.

Unlocking the Body – Pilates Reformer Intensive

A series of four 90-minute sessions designed to address areas of tension we hold in the body i.e. neck, shoulder, hips and lower back. With focus on deep stretching through the Yamuna Body Rolling System, active and passive stretching, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), and core strengthening exercises to help align the spine and create balance. This is both a therapeutic and challenging workout. Leave class feeling relaxed, balanced and energized!

Ideal student:

Perfect for any level of Pilates student that has chronic tightness in the body or wants to prevent it. This program is also great for athletes that want to reach peak performance in their other activities.

Next session:

• $99 for Victoria Park Health Club members

Learn the Pilates method as Joe intended: quality over quantity. Our intimate teacher course combines traditional Pilates methods with progressive principles that adhere to the PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) standards. Instead of simply teaching a repertoire of exercises, we teach you how to be a teacher, supporting you every step of the way.

Designed for:

Those interested in becoming a certified Pilates teacher.  It is also ideal for an avid Pilates practitioner that wants to know more about Pilates repertoire and philosophy. 

Requirements:

Minimum of 30 mat hours and 10 private training hours and the completion of a Basic Anatomy and Physiology course. A Basic Anatomy and Physiology course will be offered prior to the certification for those that require it.
