Aesthetic Growth Removal

Ready to have that annoying growth removed?

Say Goodbye to Annoying Growths!

There are various kinds of growths that occur over the face and body. At Victoria Park Medispa, we can remove various types of moles, cysts, and skin tags for aesthetic purposes.

A mole is a small skin blemish with a high concentration of melanin. The vast majority of moles are benign (not dangerous). If your mole is benign but bothers you for cosmetic reasons, or interferes with shaving— you may want to have it removed.

A cyst is a benign closed pocket of tissue filled with fluid or sebum. Although nearly all cysts are benign, they can be unsightly and clients would like to have them removed for aesthetic reasons. Finally, skin tags are small, benign pieces of soft hanging skin.

Why Victoria Park Medispa?

All aesthetic growth removals at Victoria Park are performed by specialists – either board certified dermatologists or plastic surgeons. The process starts with a consultation with one of our physicians regarding your aesthetic excision. They can determine the right procedure for mole removal, cyst removal, or skin tag removal and then advise on the right follow up care.

Get Started

How long does a growth removal treatment take?

The first step is a consultation with one of our physician specialists. They will review the growths you wish to remove to determine the right procedure for the removal of your growth.   Depending on the type, size, and quantity of growths to be removed, this may happen immediately following the consultation, but often another appointment will be scheduled for the aesthetic excision which can last between 10 and 40 minutes.

Does the procedure hurt?

Any growth removal treatment is preceded by application of a topical or local anesthesia. Apart from the local anesthetic injection used to numb the area, during which you may feel a little prick and sting for a few seconds, you should not feel any discomfort. Most patients do not require any major form of painkiller other than acetaminophen.

Do you also perform aesthetic earlobe repairs from earring damage?

Yes, our physician specialists can perform earlobe repair from damage related to the wearing of earrings.

This procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and takes approximately 20-30 mimutes. The procedure is well tolerated and complete healing ensues in the weeks that follow. The procedure begins with a physician consultation to review the ear and desired repair.

How much does a growth removal treatment cost?

Depending on the type and quantity of aesthetic excisions, a treatment can cost between $150 and $950 or more. Your physician will review your treatment options and costs during your personalized consultation.

How soon can I see results?

Following the growth removal, there is rarely any downtime; patients can return to their day-to-day activities immediately following their treatment unless otherwise directed. If non absorbable sutures are used, you will be scheduled to return for their removal in 1 – 2 weeks.  When the skin heals, there may remain a small scar, which fades over time, but our specialized physicians endeavour to minimize the appearance of any scarring from such treatments.
