SKINBOOSTERS

Looking to achieve hydrated and radiant skin without the effects of traditional dermal fillers?

If so, Skinboosters, in the hands of the right practitioners, provides a non-surgical solution for skin hydration, firmness and luminosity.

What are Skinboosters?

Skinboosters is a dermal filler which improves skin hydration, firmness and luminosity, through micro-injections of a very thin Hyaluronic Acid filler into the skin. It naturally integrates into the skin to noticeably improve skin smoothness, elasticity and appearance in the face, upper neck and back of the hands. Clinical studies show that results may last up to 6 months.

Unlike traditional dermal fillers, they are not injected beneath the skin to volumize or shape the face.  Instead, they are very fine dermal fillers that are injected into the skin to hydrate and improve skin quality. During the treatment, the multiple injections activate the fibroblasts promoting new collagen and elastin formation (Wohlrab et al, 2013). The result is healthy-looking, glowing and plump skin.

Over a series of treatments, it gradually refreshes the look of your skin.

“I really started to notice a difference after my second treatment. My skin started to glow, and felt so much fresher. My face felt softer. The results are subtle and natural-looking but everyone tells me I look refreshed and that my skin is radiant.”

Get Started

What is the procedure like?

Skinboosters are injected using a very small needle.

The entire procedure takes anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes. No topical numbing cream is necessary.

Is there any downtime?

You may experience a little redness and occasional bruising for a few days after the treatment but this subsides quickly. It is safe to apply make-up a few hours after the treatment.

How much does it cost?

Treatment with skin boosters can start at $600 but is dependent on the types and amounts of products used to give you the optimum result.

How Many Treatments are Required?

Initially, 3 treatments are required. They should be scheduled 4-6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6-8 months. Take care of your skin by hydrating from the inside out with Skinboosters, especially in the winter to combat dryness.

Where are you located?

Victoria Park Medispa is now the biggest medispa in the greater Montreal area. We offer Skinboosters in the following clinics; Westmount, Downtown Montreal, Town of Mount Royal, Pointe-Claire, Montreal East, and Gatineau. Some clinics offer free parking.

How do I get started?

A consultation with a Victoria Park Medispa physician can range between $125 and $195, depending on the type of consult. They will perform a complete review of your age, facial structure, skin type and the improvements you would like to see. They will then walk you through the various options that could have the greatest benefit for you, review before and after photos, and develop a treatment program.

FAQs about SkinBoosters

What Areas Can I Treat ?

Skinboosters can help refresh the skin in the face (lower cheek and jawline), neck and back of the hands.

What is the difference between fillers and Skinboosters?

A Skinboosters treatment is not intended to fill lines and wrinkles. Instead, it is to hydrate the skin and promote formation of new collagen and elastin in the long term. Patients notice a more dewy and firmer appearance to the skin and more of a ‘glow’ as a result.

The Skinboosters treatment works exceptionally well at enhancing the results of other treatments and can be added to most services at Victoria Park.

Finally, unlike hyaluronic acid which can be taken out with something called hyaluronidase, Radiesse and Sculptra cannot, so you need to wait until they naturally fade away if you are not happy with the result. That is why it’s important to work with an experienced injector to ensure the optimal results.

HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT LAST?

Following the initial treatment, the long-lasting Hyaluronic Acid (HA) in Skinboosters will provide hydration and can continue to last for 6-12 months to give your skin a wonderful glow. Maintenance is always recommended with HA products for continued benefits and improving results.

Why should I care about who performs my treatment?

At Victoria Park Medispa, we believe that all injectable treatments should be performed by physician specialists – board-certified plastic surgeons and dermatologists.

Our physicians are not only specialists, they are trainers of other physicians in Montreal and around the world.

We believe their extensive medical and aesthetic training on the skin and the structure of the face can ensure the most natural looking and best possible rejuvenating result.
